Quick Review: What Is CMA Fest?

CMA stands for Country Music Association, which is best known for hosting the “CMA Awards” every year. If you are unfamiliar, the CMA Awards are like the country-only Grammys. This year they will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd, so mark your calendars! However, CMA Fest is coming up in the much more immediate future, and that’s what we’re here to talk about right now.

CMA Fest is the most notable country music festival in the world. Held right here in Nashville, the undisputed country music Mecca, you can expect nearly every artists who is active in the country scene to make an appearance, which leads us to our first point…

How To Get Tickets To CMA Fest

Tickets to CMA Fest go on sale as much as a 13 months in advance through Ticketmaster, and the hottest tickets will go fast. If you’re still looking for a luxury VIP package at this late hour, you may need to get onto StubHub or a similar website. However, there are still plenty of General Admission tickets available HERE. At this point, you should expect to pay a little more than $200, but prices are rising fast. Buy your tickets sooner rather than later to avoid even higher prices!

What’s The CMA Fest Parking Situation?

Parking for CMA Fest can be tough. Although many downtown hotels offer a shuttle service straight to the festivities, most will need to pay costly fees to get a good parking spot. The best parking can be found in the lots at Nissan Stadium (home of the Tennessee Titans and the venue for CMA Fest’s main stage) but weekend parking passes will need to be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Beyond the Nissan Stadium’s parking lots, there are many parking garages and paid lots in downtown Nashville and the surrounding areas where you can pay to park. However, the rates for these garages and lots will definitely be at a premium during the weekend of CMA Fest, so you might consider parking further away and taking an Uber or a Lyft over to the festival grounds.
