General Jackson Showboat

Cruise down the Cumberland River in one of the largest showboats ever built. On the General Jackson Showboat, you will encounter stunning views, delicious meals and toe-tapping entertainment in the two-story Victorian Theater.

Dickens of a Christmas

Dicken’s of a Christmas, put on by the Heritage Foundation, returns this year December 12-13. The event steps back in time to the era of Charles Dickens using historic downtown Franklin’s Victorian architecture as a backdrop. The streets will be filled with more than 200 musicians, dancers and characters like Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol and Fagin from Oliver Twist.

Holiday at Cheekwood

Holiday spirit is at Cheekwood! You will meet Santa, get up close with reindeer and enjoy gingerbread workshops. Special events taking place this year include Norman Rockwell’s Home for the Holidays, which features Rockwell’s celebrated holiday cover illustrations representing a broad range of festive imagery.
