 In Nashville

Christmas is fast approaching, so it’s time to check out the local festive attractions before the holiday season gets too busy. Whether you’re a Nashville local or just planning a trip, check out these top 5 things to do in Nashville.

1. Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens

If you’re looking for a way to get into the Nashville Christmas spirit, the Holiday Lights at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens is just what you need. Set in Nashville’s beautiful 55-acre Cheekwood Estate and Garden, this event features a mile-long trail filled with thousands of twinkling lights and festive decorations. The trail winds through the gardens and also features a display of more than 100 handcrafted tree sculptures and one poinsettia tree twenty feet tall. This annual event has interactive features for guests of all ages, where you can walk through the garden paths and see all of the holiday decorations while enjoying live music, food trucks, and more.

2. Historic Downtown Franklin

Another Nashville Christmas getaway that’s a little off the beaten path is Historic Downtown Franklin.

Known for a great taste of local and international Irish Whiskey and brews, Historic Downtown Franklin is home to hundreds of shops and restaurants, all decked out with lights and decorations for the holidays. Walk down Main Street and take in holiday sights like the Gingerbread Haus, or go to one of the many festivals throughout the season.

If you’re feeling festive, head to The Rock House Lodge or The Mill Restaurant on Main Street for some live music and great food. If you’d rather stay home and enjoy the view from your hotel room window, then book a stay at one of the many charming hotels just steps from these festive holiday sights.

4. The Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Holiday Performances

Besides the above few things that can beat the feel of Christmas in Nashville, another mind blowing thing is seeing a performance at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The TPAC has been putting on seasonal shows for decades, and they’re all produced by professional actors and musicians.

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) was founded in 1980 as part of the Board of Directors (27 members, each serving a term of three years). Its mission is to offer high-quality entertainment and service to the public. The TPAC hosts hundreds of thousands each year, with several special engagements, productions of Nashville Repertory, Opera and Ballet artistic companies, and the TPAC series.

5.Christmas at Gaylord Opryland

Opryland’s Country Christmas is a great place to visit. It has a lot of activities for the whole family and has a great atmosphere, making it an ideal place to take the kids. The shows are also great value for money, as they are affordable compared with other shows around town.

Note that Opryland’s Country Christmas opens on November 11th and will be open until January 1st, 2023, so there is always much time left if you want to get your hands on some early tickets for Christmas.
