Visiting Nashville gives you plenty of opportunities to spot a celebrity or two. While it is known as Music City, musicians aren’t the only people you might sit next to at breakfast. Actors and sports players call the area home which gives you more opportunities to see someone famous. We’ve put together a list of places celebrities like to visit in Nashville.

Bluebird Cafe

A legendary and intimate location to hear some of the best singers and songwriters, the Bluebird Cafe opened in 1982 and has remained a local staple ever since. The small venue has been featured in publications like The New York Times and depicted on popular shows like Nashville. You can see all kinds of stars taking in a show. Some sightings include Garth Brooks, Ted Danson, Katie Couric, Melissa Etheridge, Al Gore, Faith Hill, and Taylor Swift.

Whole Foods in Green Hills

We’ll go ahead and tell you now that the Green Hills neighborhood is a great place to bump into a star. The area is affluent and full of character attracting the rich and famous. Whole Foods has had celebrity sightings like Steven Tyler, Nashville‘s Connie Britton, and Taylor Swift. As a larger version of the grocery store, there is plenty of food and seating if you want to grab something healthy and people watch.

The Mall at Green Hills

Since we are already talking about the area let’s continue with The Mall at Green Hills. If you’re visiting, you might want to make a pit stop here because you’ll find a lot of top name designers and brands with shops in this mall. You can visit the newly expanded Restoration Hardware. It’s about four floors with a beautiful dining area downstairs. It’s an opportunity to spot a famous person or two. Faith Hill and Keith Urban pop into the mall often. Other names include Alan Jackson, Kix Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, and Lily Aldridge.

Pancake Pantry

While you are in Nashville, you’ll have access to some of the best Southern food. Yes, we will always recommend Nashville’s hot chicken, but one place that might not immediately pop up in your search that is well worth a visit is the Pancake Pantry. Be prepared to wait. It’s a trendy spot! But, you might see a famous face in line with you. Vince Gill loves the place! Locals have even spotted Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

Clyde’s on Church Ping-Pong Bar

If you want delicious pulled pork and a fun time, you need to check out Clyde’s. The restaurant and bar allow patrons to challenge a friend or two to a game of ping-pong. It’s located in Downtown Nashville and a favorite spot of Brett Eldredge. “My favorite spot in Nashville right now is probably Clyde’s. It’s a Ping-Pong bar. It’s got Ping-Pong tables, really great food, and drinks. It’s just a really cool vibe.”

Franklin, TN

Franklin, TN is a neighborhood located in Williamson County. It’s just outside of Nashville but a great place to visit. The drive is only 25-30 minutes, and you’ll have access to a lot of shopping and dining. Not to mention a few chance encounters with a musician or actor. Carrie Underwood has been known to stop by Ivey Cake in Downtown Franklin. Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly, call the city home. They carry a low profile, but you can see them at local restaurants. Sherly Crow lives in Nashville but makes frequent trips to The Factory at Franklin.

Bongo Java on Belmont Blvd.

Located across from Belmont University, Bongo Java usually attracts a lot of students. But, a few famous names have graced the coffee shop. Nicole Kidman was once spotted reading a script while sipping a latte in the back corner. Taylor Swift has stopped by on occasion when she’s in town. NFL player Eddie George was seen there too. It’s recommended to go earlier in the morning to avoid the line and potentially see a celebrity.

Pinewood Social

Pinewood Social is a restaurant, a coffee shop and a bowling alley. It is very much upscale and combines beautiful food with vintage bowling lanes in a relaxed atmosphere. The bowling lanes are hugely popular for locals and tourists, so you will probably want to book in advance. But, chances are you might be throwing strikes alongside Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift, or Mike Wolfe. If you can’t reserve a lane, you can play bocce or take a dip in their pool.

Santa’s Pub

At the time of this post’s publication, it is Spring in Nashville. So, you might be wondering why we are talking about Santa. Well, Santa’s Pub does have a Christmas-y vibe year round and is run by someone who could be the jolly man’s brother. But, it’s a little more than that as it’s known to be Nashville’s ultimate dive bar. Drinks are incredibly cheap, and karaoke is hosted almost every night. Kacey Musgraves was spotted there for some drinks. And, Ed Shereen jumped on stage once to take part in a karaoke song. Late nights and weekends are the best times to go to Santa’s Pub.
